Have a question

I have a question, this is for 88-91 HB owners, I have springs in my car apexi they lowered the front and not the back so we thought we put them in wrong so we switched them around and still the back was raised higher then stock, I just want to know how long does it take for springs to settle specially the back ones?? I was told that these springs are more then likely for a intergra. Even though the guy who sold them to me said they would work on my car 100% 88-00 civics and integras

you already know what I have to say about this...even if they needed to settle they still would never be as high or higher than stock in the back

u really need to take some pictures so I can see exactly whats goin on here

styls255 06-Mar-2004 02:13 PM

its 2 inchs off the tire from the lip of the wheel well

Buff 'n Stuff 06-Mar-2004 02:19 PM

it takes days to a couple of weeks for springs to settle.

imo, you need to get a set of springs that are made specifically for the year and model of your vehicle... (the correct application)

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:05 PM

the guy I bought them off of said they were.

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:08 PM

i'm just going to coilovers

punkindrublic 06-Mar-2004 08:17 PM

coilovers suck... you probably got 4 front springs or something

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:21 PM

nope got smaller spring which we put in the back, and the longer one up front. we also had to switch the top rubber piece that goes over the spring, cuz the smaller one is flat at the top, so we had to use the one from the front shock and put it in the back, and reverse.

punkindrublic 06-Mar-2004 08:22 PM

ya that'll do it to

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:25 PM

so did I do it right or did we mess something up, I think i'm just going to wait and C if they settle I hear it takes awhile.

punkindrublic 06-Mar-2004 08:27 PM

my race springs are higher in the rear compared to the front but they are still probably two inches lower in the rear then stock

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:28 PM

so u think i'm good and should just wait till they settle? just want to know if I did them right.

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:30 PM

so longer springs in the front, smaller in the back

punkindrublic 06-Mar-2004 08:35 PM

yep that is how it goes... my springs hardly settle at all... i guess how much they settle is based on the spring rates and length of spring also though

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:36 PM

it said 1.5 -1.8 inch drop.

punkindrublic 06-Mar-2004 08:48 PM

ya i know but a spring could be shorter but stiffer and give the same drops as a longer but softer spring... mine hardly settle at all but then again i have race springs and nice shocks now

styls255 06-Mar-2004 08:53 PM

I have the springs and stock shocks. so I will probably take longer.
