Hasport engine mounts for engine swap

Does anyone have experience with Hasport mounts?

Are they worth the money? Specifically... if I buy these mounts can I put them in and NEVER have to worry about them breaking... considering that it will probably have to deal with just a stock b-series motor... nothing with crazy crazy torque.

Would you recommend getting the Energy Suspension inserts over the Hasport polyurethane mounts?

I was considering to get this kit http://www.hasport.com/Products/Moun...nt%20EKSTK.htm

Also, on the Hasport website they say I have a choice of "Street", "Race", or "Extreme Race" urethane. Which ones have you guys had experience with and liked the most?

Lastly, where in the Markham area would I be able to pick up Hasport or Energy Suspension goodies.

if you got money, go for hasport, if not, ES insert if not bad either..

extreme > race > street

doesn't mean race is better than street mounts etc but those mounts categories are specifically designed for that application...where extrmem is like meant to install on pure track car..not recommended for street..

extreme will cause extreme loud noise inside the car, i know that cuz nova_dust got those mounts, may be he'll reply to this thread, i have a feeling he will anywho cuz he's a *****=P

if this car is ur daily driver, go street...if you track car one in a while, race...good luck

Behold da *****!

I do have Grade A88 (extreme race) mounts in my car. The vibration really travels inside the cabin. Loose parts will rattle. You will get used to it after a while.

What do you guys have to say about the reliability of Hasport mounts?

If I think about it realistically... nothing can last forever and things eventually break.

Nova_Dust, did you buy your mounts directly from Hasport or did you purchase them locally (Scarborough... Markham...)?

well....technically it is as long as you own the mounts...but they wont cover it if it's been abused or misuse

Thanks everyone for your input. Thanks Capo for those alternative companies... they are definitely worth checking out. I found some engine mounts in Canada from ETDRacing. On their website they didn't have mounts for my project but I've emailed them to double check if they have any anyways. Some companies offer mounts either made from Steel or Aluminum... can someone explain what the big difference is? Aluminum is lighter but weaker... and Steel is heavier but stronger? (Just guessing here)

I said in my original post I wanted to put a B-series motor into my EK. I plan on keeping the motor stock so there's not going to be crazy amounts of torque. I will be tracking the car so I want sturdy mounts that will keep the engine in place during acceleration and cornering. I don't want to go with the OEM engine mounts with the rubber in the middle cause I see them break all the time. I'd much rather get engine mounts that will last me a long time, won't give me any headaches and I won't have to touch it after I install it.
