Hard to shift auto tranny
 

Hi,

On my friend's car (93 civic hatc), her auto tranny is REALLY hard to shift past reverse (to get into drive from park or vise versa).

I'm obviously very strong and and ripped ;) so I have no problem doing it but she will literally need 2 hands to shift it past reverse.

Any ideas, tips?

sounds like something is binding.. maybe the shift linkage or the forks in the tranny?

She needs a new shifter cable.

or how about adjustment?

what's the reasonable price to get it change from shops?
