handling
can someone tell me how to improve the handling of my car? i just find it kinda sucks when i make turns.....feels like my car's gonna flip or skid making steep turns.
my car is not lowered and is a '00 civic sedan. i hear about sway bars, strut bars for front and back....etc, etc...
now for the questions:
1. what's the diff between sways and strut bars? and are there many brands and weights (the heavier the better???)
2. are they what i need as the solution?
3. do i need front and back?
4. like i said my car's not lowered, will it make a diff?
5. how much do they go for and anybody have for sale?

1. Strut bar goes on top of ur shock towers the bar that u see running across the engine and a sway bar is under the car that connect the lower controls arms
2. lowering ur car will help alot since ur CG is lower then u can take turns alot better than stock of course
3. u'll probably need lowering springs and shocks since ur stock ones aren't designed for low travel and will damage shocks and even the car some times
4. and sway bars and strut bars would be a bonus

ok you want a great handling car ... stiffen up the rear end ... stiffer spings in the rear then the front.... and it'll handle better ...
a rear sway bar will help oversteer
a front sway bar will help understeer
not sure about tower braces...
you still have double wishbone suspension so here's the poor racers way to get good handling and remain in a stock class
take the upper control arms and switch them this increases caster ... then add 0.5 degrees of toe out on the front and damn it'll handle a lot better (night and day) lowering CG by dropping the car is not as important as spring rates which is way more important to a good handling car then being able to say yeah my car is 4 inches lower....

As others have mentioned, yes, bars and lowering might help. I installed a Front Tower Bar and I can feel some improvement.
Bars are like other car components, you get what you pay for. Cheap stuff might break over time and rust. Don't settle for less.
Front Tower bar goes from as little as 45 bucks to 260. You make the call.
