H22A swap?

Does anyone have any good info on a H22 swap into a 92-95 civic, or even any good links about it? I've been searching forever and haven't come up with anything that is helpful. Any help appreciated

is it not tru that the power steering goes bye bye when you do this swap? cuz there is no room left for the pump...?

i've seen an h22 in a 5th gen hatch... but the guy didn't care about power steering or a/c... it would be very tight if you could keep power steering though

Your best bet would be to call Joe at Altech and ask. He can answer any questions you have. There info is in the affilliates page.

Some companies make mounts for the PS.. and yeah it'll fit with a custom made mount NO PROBLEM.. but then I don't think you'll have any room for the turbo..

I have had no problem using hasport mounts and the H22a, i don't run power steering as my vx never came with it......but I can hook up power steering even though the little end pulley of the crank pulley is actually under the frame rail......the h22 in a civic is fine with a properly set up chassis, actually setting the car up on scales on all 4 corners and adjust the weights(weight distribution !), it is one of the original reasons why adjustable coils came into existence., not just to adjust fender gaps.

if you are that concerned about p/s get a B18c. you will have other things to worry about more with an h22 eg than p/s.

thats why i think its better to stay with the b series... unless your doing drag racing.... cause a gsr motor will still be a nice motor... and add some stuff to it and you'll have 200hp no problem

speed costs money, how fast do you wanna go?..lol

the originnal question of this thread was by draginx and was

"Does anyone have any good info on a H22 swap into a 92-95 civic, or even any good links about it? I've been searching forever and haven't come up with anything that is helpful. Any help appreciated "

I am releasing info and experience , by using the h22 first hand and using hasport mounts, as it is all I have ever used.
the mounts are not cheap but perform real well, the correct durometer and the power is tranferred real nice and smooth, perfect really, the axles are no problem, stock integra axels and accord 90-93 half shaft, the shifter takes some work to bolt in and route the cables, the wiring is not that difficult.

everyone here dirven a civic with the H22?.......the car pulls so nice in 5th gear, lots of torque.

most every car gets suspension mods, the right rate of springs and shock combo, balances the car nicely.

I am just here to try to help out, its not a pissin contest for me.......wish i could hook up a 4wd gearbox to the h22.....lol

maybe should add, that as time passes and one gets more money, a nice turbo system set up properly on the H22 will generate 430 Horse Power at the wheels @ 18 psi on 92 octane fuel, and generate way more torque that no other 4 cyl honda motor can produce....i have not experimented with the new 2.0L engine myself, so I am not including that engine here.
