H22 Swap

I was at speedorama today and I found this guy that says he can do a full H22 Swap for 6700... including install. Is this a good price and is that the right setup for a car like mine... (98 Civic Si Coupe).

Thanks all

Sounds about right. I don't think it's a steal, but it's fair.

I think it's a fair deal... usually $5K for motor alone, plus $1600 for a mounting kit...basically this guy is doing the install cheap/free. Insist on a Place Racing mounting kit though.

Buying an H22A is generally cheaper than buying a B18C1 or B16A.

Man that seems like alot you can get the complete H22 engine tranny and computer for around $2800 - 3200 and if you check out ebay they have the mounts for about $500
and this is still all in Canadian dollars !!!! Labour to put in in should be about 5-8 hrs depending on the mechanic
think twice about shelling out that kind of dough !!

just remember... H22's are nice... but lessmovable parts in a b18b (bore it out and resleve it) or a b20

both 'B's" are nice for turbos

think about the future when you decide what swap to do

well sorry to break it to u but the 3500 for a h22 motor isnt STOLEN
its legit, now if u want u can go and pay 5000 for a h22, thats ur choice, im just trying to help the guy out cause i know of 3 shops that have h22s for that price, ne other place is a rip off, they figure hey everyone wants a H22 lets sell it for 5 g's, id rather do type r juss my opinion, but since im gettin h22 for cheap, than y not, and by the way my motor is coming out of a firends car that was rear ended by a dodge ram, das y so cheap
