H22 Injectors?

will h22 injectors work on a b series motor?

Would their be any benfit how much CC's are the h22s compared to stock?

zeeman 05-Apr-2007 12:04 PM

92-96 h22 5-spd injectors are 345cc but are peak and hold.
obd2 h22 injectors are only 290cc and are saturated.

is there a reason for you to upgrade injectors? Your stock 240's will hold up fine. Lenny over here made 162whp? before he maxed out his.. so if you're asking if there is a benefit on a stock or mildly built motor, the answer is no, unless your injectors are already maxed out, but your tuner will def. inform you when they are.

215+whp right on stock injectors

trigga 05-Apr-2007 12:19 PM

so im guessing the 345cc are idel and will fit right in.

What obd are you?

if your obd1-2 you will need to run a resister box or 4 inline 10 ohm/10 watt resistors because the injectors are peak and hold.

Also... obd2 and obd1 clips are different. So it depends for wat application its for. But it's definately do-able.

correct and correct...

but why not look for some used RC310cc injectors on ebay or something from someone who upgraded... I think certain turbo or supercharger kits come with 310cc injectors, so you can prolly scoop those up pretty cheap.

it was 167whp....cromes duty cycle reading was well over 85% duty cycle (85% is considered maxed out), i was into the 105-110% area at 8500rmps....but its a well known fact that cromes duty cycle calculation is wrong. I've still got plenty of injector left with my 240s only being near 170whp.
IMO stock injectors are good for a little over 200whp.
Triggas setup needs bigger injectors and a higher volume fuel pump for sure IMO.

ABOUSTLY, but im picking these h22 injectors (obd1 jdm 345cc) for nex to nothing. i figure my injectors will go sooner or later from over stressign them so im pretty sure these 345cc injectors will do in the meanwhile.

and im currently obd1 anyways so its perfect.

all you'll have to do is wire up a resistor box, or some inline resistors and you'll be golden....and obviously tune right away after installing the injectors.

Stock fuel pressure?

zeeman 06-Apr-2007 10:02 AM

yes at stock fuel pressure, if you wanna jack the fuel pressure up to like 60 psi or so then you can squeeze a little more out of them. But personally, i'm not a fan of running an injector maxed out nevermind then turning up the fuel pressure to put even more strain on the fuel pump and injectors.

brianmcgaugh 06-Apr-2007 12:40 PM

dont you think that 200whp is iffy with 240's on stock fuel press?

zeeman 06-Apr-2007 01:06 PM

200whp is pretty much the limit of stock injectors IMO at any fuel pressure.
But there are plenty of people out there that don't think they need to upgrade their fuel system to only run 200whp, and there are plenty of tuners out there that don't care, so they'll jack up the fuel pressure to keep their customers happy....not caring about any of the negative effects of the super high fuel pressure on a stock fuel pump and injectors.
I, on the other hand, am the first person to recommend using a larger injector and higher volume fuel pump. IMO you can't really ever run too big of an injector (unless your running like 1000cc injectors on a n/a setup) b/c the larger the injector you use the lower the duty cycle will be, thus the less the injector has to work to deliver the right amount of fuel. I'd rather run a car at 50% DC at WOT to get a solid AFR than be running the stock injectors at 60psi fuel pressure and 115% duty cycle b/c IMO thats not really safe. But i can't force people to buy larger injectors...can i....lol
