H22 H2B Plate for B-Series Transmission / Tranny Fix?

Few questions on H-B Plate for the H22 with B-Series Tranny

I'm thinking of doing B16 LSD tranny or Type-R Tranny and H-B plate

Anyone know how much it will be to install ?

I'm thinking either of those trannies with LSD will be in the $800-$1200 dollar range

With the H-B plate which i'm trying to find out the price from

http://www.quartersportsdrag.com/H2B.html

If anybody knows how much to get the whole h-b kit and a tranny lmk
Would like to here any inputs and comments also

I'm wondering if this would eliminate the whole problem with dropping the engine when i have to change the clutch with the h22

also this is a daily drive wil the gears be too short to drive daily?

If your running a b16 trans on a h22a kiss your gas amount goodbye on your rice rocket. This has been many times over on honda-tech kiddo so go start reading.

the kit is 850 us plush shipping, Changing the clutch with the motor in the car can be done if u have access to a hoist, gl doing it in your driveway though.

imported_xplizitremix 25-Nov-2006 11:21 PM

access to a hoist is no problem
but are you sure?

Mines stock...you want a cookie for being a smart fellow? But hey when I get my ish done I wont be making a post on how I got ripped off. :wounded:

should've done this before going through the trouble of getting that H22 tranny to work in your car.
H2B gets thumbs up from me.

i don't see your arguement then for saying mine doesn't work?
Post was to get things straightened out and it worked out fine for me.

h2bs are awesome IMO... i would run it with a GSR LSD though... i think it would compliment the torque monster nicely...

imported_Cablerat 26-Nov-2006 05:37 PM

H2B is too expensive. In some cars it messes up the hood.

IE in the integra, you have to either get a custom hood, or put 2" spacers on the hinge point and that looks so stupid.

Very cool concept though. I would love to have an H22 in my GSR with a GSR tranny. Would totally do it if they had the hood issue solved. ALL i need is an H22, H2B kit and done.

Plus I could probably sell my existing GSR motor for the price of a JDM H22.

thats JDM haha
but ya i'm not too crazy about it but some people like it

also i'm just worried about gas and how it will be on highway... as if the tranny is too short its going to be a ***** to drive on highway

imported_plzbeleiveit 26-Nov-2006 07:09 PM

youll be like me with my old setup getting 200kms per 35leters.
