guess how much WHP gain from a O2 replacment

I went on dyno about a week ago with my B18C5
got an unexpected sh!tty number putting down on the wheel, did a leak down test, compression test, everything cleaned..end up it was the second O2 sensor which shows fail....i got it replaced and went on dyno 5 days ago...and GUESS how much WPH i gained back~ lol~~

i'll post my answer tomorrow,

so those people who has a failed O2 sensor..please replace it asap if u want ur engine to run back to normal~~

when you say o2, do you mean the sensor? does that mean a person running a punched cat with a o2 CEL is losing hp?

unless its previously cooked and u need a new one

^^ thats what i was thinking. if your o2 sensor is down below in your exhaust system...i wonder how it would rob any hp since the stroke cycle is already over.

^^If it's getting a false reading, it'll make your engine run too rich or too lean thus not running at the proper mixture and robbing you of power.....

Well with honda ecus, anything over 80% throttle the ecu automatically switches into open loop. So i can't see having a bad o2 sensor causing a dyno pull to result in less power b/c at WOT (like you do on a dyno) the ecu is in open loop (not using the o2 feedback to adjust fuel), so if you're o2 is pooched, it shouldn't effect the power output on a dyno.

But if you say it did, post up the before/after charts. Its been a few days now.

^^I stand corrected....lol....thats true...most ecu's go open loop at 80% to WOT.....It doesn't even look at the O2's, so how could it effect power at WOT.....

The only way I can think of it effecting power at WOT is if the CEL light got kicked on by the bad O2 and the ecu is in "limp mode"....

well if the ecu is in limp mode it wouldn't rev past 4000rpm.
