Guage installation issues
Hello peoples...been having problems wiring 2 of my guages in my car...
I have been having issues with the air fuel:
set up is a b16a2...
I have the signal wire running to the o2 sensor...however, I am only getting a rich signal...as soon as the car is turned on...I am wondering if I have the wire run too far away from the o2 sensor itself...
next is the Water temp guage
I have it set into the wiring for the thermostat....not sure if its the right wire for this or not???
does anyone have a DIY for this install for either on my specific engine???
thanks in advance for any help....

for the afr gauge, it shouldn't matter where you have the wire connected. they aren't very useful but they are pretty reasonably accurate. when i first installed mine it didn't show anything at all... ended up being a bad o2 sensor. i have mine wired in right by the ecu. not sure which pin right now but i can find out later.
not sure about the water temp gauge... i take it you didn't get a manual for these...
see if you can find a download for the manual. are they autometer gauges?

the a/f gauge could also be wired to the map sensor wire, its yellow with a green stripe. Its near the throttle body, i think, havent done it in a while.

so...as an update here...I was messin around lastnight...re read the instructions....the car has a 4 wire set up....so when I tried anything off the actual wires for the O2, it would not work. then got to looking at the hayes manual...and the instructions...it says I should use the wires off the PCM...so I go hunting...there is blue on red, black on red, and green. the only one I could get a signal off of was the green. however when I attached the wire...the car started to run like hell. slow throttle response, running really rich(I could smell it) and sounded horrible. so at this point, I am at a loss for ideas. I have tried to source the right wire, and when I did find a wire with a signal, it made the car run horrible. I have taken the wire off and left it for now...but man...How the hell do you wire this guage...I did a tonne of looking on hondatech and still could find nothing...any help is awesome. BTW I tried the "big" white wire going to my ECU...and got nothing...(in this case there is no difference between the big white wire at the ecu or the big white wire on the O2 sensor. thanks in advance!!!
