looking to get a gsr engine (b18c1) in my 99 civic EX. Approx cost for everything i would need?????? I also want to add that my current car has an auto tranny. wat is teh cost i am looking at? also, i'll add that i want a motor with 50k or less on it

not sure but this will get locked man cause we cant' tell you quotes...call up soem shops and ask..call altech or streetwyse (sp) or ksrd..these are a couple shops ..do a search altech is a trusted shop around here but check soem out and pick which you feel comfortable with....I'll tell ya it will be a good coupel thousand to get what you want done...

i was just looking for a ballpark, not an actual quote, just so i know how much money to save up for it

why not just get an actual quote, so you know exactly how much to save?

all the shops i've been to wont give me a quote unless they know i will get it done from them, maybe i've been unlucky with teh jackasses i've visited, i'll try a couple more

well tell them you'll get it done there... get your quote then dont go back... if they wont give you a quote they dont want your business that much anyways

this is what you say...I was wondering how much it is to get this done...I'm shopping around and want to find the best place....if they dont' give you a quote then say ok thanks I'll take my business else where...call up altech they I'm sure will give a quote

I called altech, leitner, RT, Boost, Splitfire, StreetWyze, A1 and a bunch of other places and said i was inquiring about an engine swap and ALL of these places gave me a quote over the phone. Whether or not they will charge you what they quote you is another story (see my "need some opinions" thread for more on this).
