GSR in EG install

Hey guys, i need some help and i think this is the best place to go.

im trying to install a OBD2 GSR motor into my eg. I have my stock SI harness and purchased a obd1gsr ecu for the swap. here are my questions....

GSR distributor = it uses a different connector than my obd1 harness. is it possible to simply swap the distributors (i had a single vtec in there before) and run the car like so, considering i do have a obd1 ecu?

Mounts = the rear mount bracket i have is not long enough to reach the crackcase and block while being bolted to the mount. the engine was in a 1997 ex civic sedan previous to my car. Do i need a 94 to 01 integra bracket to bolt it up properly?

if any of you have experience with this swap please let me know any other problems i may encounter.

Thanks guys, any and all help is appreciated.

well you can cut the plug off the obd2 dizzy and wire on obd1 plugs, or cut the obd1 plugs off your engine harness and solder on an obd2 plug (obd1 uses 2 plugs, while obd2 uses only 1 plug). Or just use an obd1 dohc vtec dizzy so it plugs into your harness.

You will need the rear bracket from a 94-01 integra (any model).

Thanks for the info on the rear bracket. that helps alot.

as for the distributor i was thinking about swapping the connectors but they have a different number of wires, one has 8 and the other has 9 i beleive. this is why i wanted to just swap in my SOHC OBD1 dizzy..(it runs of the one cam in the single and the intake cam on the dohc motor i think)..i checked them out and they seem to have the same bolt pattern (the three bolts holding the dizzy to the head). i was just hoping that someone out there already had some experience with this.

Again thanks for your info about the bracket.

well i know for a fact that obd1 dizzys have 2 plugs, a small one with 2 (yellow/black and blue) and a larger one with 7 wires.
And i know for a fact that obd2a dizzys have a single large plug with 9 wires. You might have an obd2b dizzy, which i believe only have 8 wires....the extra wire with the obd0,1 and obd2a is the tach output wire, i think the obd2b's use a different source for the tach signal.
