u need the entire suspeion stock EKs come with Drumbs if i am correct

imported_t_dot_SiR 20-Mar-2006 02:06 AM

i don't think its necessary to change the complete suspension... you're just doing a disc conversion, right?

imported_GoldBadge 20-Mar-2006 10:29 AM

I believe only the trailing arms / disk brake assembly are compatable. The lower and upper control arms won't work in the rear; they aren't the same. They might fit, but they aren't the same dimensions.

imported_SaYjAiBaO 20-Mar-2006 10:35 AM

why not just get it off an sir? i've seen disc swaps for sale every now and then and it's not that expensive at all. that way you can just take the whole trailing arm and swap it over. i don't know if the trailing arms from the integra will fit. they probably will but either way it'll be a **** sucker to swap out the trailing arms.

imported_richardl 20-Mar-2006 11:01 AM

cus i have a buddy who got them an never put them in his EG and he said to check if thell bolt up properly and fit in my 97 ek if they doo hell give them to me so yeah i think thell fit im just making sure..... and its just the trailing arms, brakes, lines, and e brake cable will all this stuff fit? I think someone told me i would have to get an SiR brake cable is this true let me know guys... thanks for the replys so far ..

a friend of mine had his done.
the lca's and uca's wont line up cuz they are shorter.
so you will have to use civic ones.
other then that the trailing arm itself will bolt up.
also you will need sir ebrake cable i believe.

USDMSIG 20-Mar-2006 12:40 PM

so much misinformation.

"*When doing a rear disc conversion on an EK, you ONLY need the spindle, NOT the whole trailing arm. The spindle is held on by four T50 torx bolts and one 24mm bolt on all EF, EG, EK, DA, and DC chassis. Yes, the Torx bolts are hard to get out, and torque hard."

here check this out, facts not RUmours .

so with this setup though all i would need now would be ???SiR e brake cable? i cant use the GSR one? and if not is that about it?

sohcnotec 11-Apr-2006 02:28 PM

Those Torx bolts almost never come out! Ususally they end up getting rounded.
A torch may be your best friend in this case.

I did my rear disc coversion on my 96 EK w/92 Integra rear trailing arms and 92 Integra parking brake cables(had these kicking around). Worked for me.
