Group Buy - replica Mugen Twin Loop exhaust

$399 for vehicle specific applications (bolt on)
$339 for universal
minimum 5 buyers

Check the product reviews section of the website for pics.

here's a demo on a Prelude : http://members.shaw.ca/jacsha/exh/mugen.wav

There's no deadline for this GB, soon as we get 5 people we're good to go... but if we can get 10 it's $20 cheaper for each type.

Shipping takes 7 days, there is no tax or brokerage of any kind since they are coming from Vancouver.

add your name to the list and indicate which type you want...and for which car model/trim/body style.. if universal, car info isn't necessary....only respond if you're getting one for sure... don't respond then turn around and back out, you'll just be screwing everyone else.

1. Jugglez - universal

That's the link that was given to me, didn't test it myself.. maybe jascha will come along and give us the correct one. The sound is quiet as stock, you can ask R0Y for some feedback his buddy just bought one for his EL.

I won't have the cash for this GB (I wish I did!) but I have a basic question. How do these mount in a 4th gen hatch? Same way as stock muffler with the tip bending around and coming out of the back. Or does the muffler have to be installed on an angle?

I actually have a unlit condition clip of the exhaust revving to show the sound and quality. But like I said, it was taken under an unlit condition and it's rather difficult to see crap

I'll try to arrange with R0Y and his EL buddy to setup a better recording for you guys to see

I need to clarify a few things before I commit here.

What do I need to fit my Sol?

This is just a cat back right?

And it's a replica of the mugen 2ble pass, who makes it?

Does anyone know the cost of the genuine Mugen 2ble pass that this one is molded from?

This is an axle back exhaust with a Twin Loop Silencer, it's super quiet while still maintaining good air flow like any other performance exhaust. The stock muffler on the other hand is quiet because it restricts air flow. And the majority of aftermarket "performance" mufflers are crazy loud! You are gettign the best of both worlds.

The actual Mugen system is about $1000 CDN give or take. this one is less than half the price and almost the same quality.. there is a product review on it with pics in the Product Reviews seciton if you need more info...

For your Sol i'm not sure if they have an application for it but you can always go universal (cheaper) and have it welded on. that's the route i'm taking.

It is made by an exhaust company in Hong Kong.

I'd kinda like to get a bolt on one so I can bring the car back to stock.

How much will it cost to weld?

there isn't one for the 4th gens. if you want you can get the universal but i think you'll run into fitment problems. The 4th gen exhausts sit extremely low and it bends all over the place.

I drive a 98 sedan and i was wondering would it be possible to use this exaughst for a dual setup, i figure that i will have to use the universal fit but will i be able to do two without any other mods, ie moving my gas tank or anything. i am saving up for the black widow 2 rear bumper and i am hoping that i can use this exaughst for dual.

well you'll need custom piping and exhaust work done regardless of whcih muffler you go with so yeah, it should be possible with the twin loop.

you'll need to get the universal since there's no 4th gen or CRX bolt on application.. and no install isn't included but a weld on job would be about $50-$75 bucks.. if anyone charges you more come to me, i will point you in the right direction
