ground control coilovers

are these coilovers ne good?? input would be great

bbarbulo 02-Mar-2005 04:51 PM

ya I used to run them great coilovers for the price... but I found the springs a lil too short. longer springs = better susp

imported_SIRACER 02-Mar-2005 06:32 PM

would skunk2 be ne better or h&r race??

SiR_88crx 02-Mar-2005 06:36 PM

i heard skunk2 arent that great

bbarbulo 03-Mar-2005 12:32 AM

I don't trust skunk2 products at all anymore... too many failures

imported_kasimmmmm 03-Mar-2005 12:40 AM

me gots skunk2.... haven't had any problems and ride is good. I like 'em better than what I had done to my previous ride... H&Rs with Tokicos.

GC is the only coilover sleeve I would trust in that price range or lower. Match them up to some Koni Yellows, you will love them.

imported_gatherer 03-Mar-2005 09:53 AM

get some Koni yellows and 7 inch long springs and your set. have fun. of course corner wieghing the car is useful too.

tom motorsports are nice and good price...

I love that one perch design and it rides a lil stiff, but I can handle that.

For $100 u cant go wrong

j_limitz 09-Mar-2005 08:32 PM

i have ground control coilovers on tokico illumina's on my eg coupe and the ride is very nice...

bbarbulo 10-Mar-2005 09:39 AM

GC also has a one perch design and it locks with an allen key

i think in general most (NOT all) of the coilovers sleeve or full coilover have shorter springs (less coils), where as lowering springs like H&R and Eibach I think keep the same amount of coils

I don't really understand the science behind it all but i'm sure it makes a diff.
