too much for you??

it is a bit expensive, whereas the whole engine goes for like 250 bux (ive seen)

but how much does a port and polish and 3 angle valve job cost?

ready to go muslce? 8 cylinders more appropriate?

cause if your moving to B series your still torqeless wonder h is alot better in that department :P

then again almost all honda motors are torqueless stock form, but boosted or blown is way diff

cheerio

hahah yah i know, but more is better than none! lol the d series is a wonderfull engine, ill miss the 650km/ 45liters of fuel and its reliabilty... 200,000km and she never lets me down.

maybe if it had less milage id go turbo instead...

d-series isnt hopeless...lots of quick d-series motors around. www.d-series.org anyways, that paul blahum guy or whatever his last name is had an EF last year with the original SI motor running mid 11's! oh and as for pricing on the work:

four cylinder mild full performance
2 valve $450 $900
4 valve $640 $1200

That's leitner's pricing.

well yah dseries has hope... but the work required doesnt fit the average budget original si as in original block thers no way a stock si can run 11 without internal work and sleeveing or posting, with 10,000$ of other stuff

an 11 second 1.6 liter single overhead cam is all about bragging rights I like it! lol

Awesome! I love my D series lol. I have heard of a turbo Si doing 9's.... so Im told. Very massive turbo. Dont quote me though. I think somewhere around $4000 just in the turbo(its a 1000% drag car).

Boost: more of those guys on d-series.org running 13's on d-series motors like the sohc or dohc zc or si engines and use homemadeturbo.com as their guide. That's a pretty small budget for decent speed.
