Good springs for the $$$

Hey dudes, guess what? My fun and fantastic Ractive coilovers have gone saggy like your granny's ta-tas. Gee, I wish I had buddies like bbarbulo last year when somebody said "Hey, wanna lower your car for 150 bucks?" to which I replied "DO I?!"

Anyways, just got some Koni's to dampen my ride but I need some springs. What do y'all recommend, and where to get 'em?

We all learn from our mistakes, sometimes we can learn from others...

Neuspeed race is MADE to sag as well, and it is a RACE susp, not suitable for the street. Did you get Koni Red or Yellow?

Neuspeed Sport is a good spring, though quite stiff for most urban streets.

Really, you have to decide whether you want a stiff ride or a lowered comfy ride. How high are you willing to stay up... the higher you are willing to go, the more wheel travel you'll have, and the better your car will handle. Like I have maybe a 2 finger gap in the front now. I don't care about looking "dumped" I care about pulling 1G on a 200ft skidpad (outcornering M3s and Porsches all day long at 1/2 the cost). So tell me what you have, tell me what you want to have... and ye shall recieve.

I got red's and I'd like a stiff ride. I can't stand bounciness at all, I'd rather have my car shake at potholes rather then fly off it. My car is dropped about 1.8 - 2.0 but I wouldn't mind raising it up at bit at all.

H&R's, Neuspeeds, they've got pretty good reps - what are the $$ differences in each category (race/sport) ?

Thanks. And by the way, can you recommend a good camber kit as well, at least for the fronts?

I'll venture to say you don't need a camber kit.

There are many good companies that make springs, but even more that make shitty springs. Here are a few key manufacturers that I would try out if I was doing another civic for myself:

Intrax
Sprint
Suspension Techniques
Progress
H&R Sport
Tanabe

I've felt 4 out of the 6 springs, but all on different cars. I can't say how they'd be for Civics. I do think they would each satisfy your needs. If you are worried about making another mistake with your susp and don't mind a stiff ride, then H&R Sport fit the bill. I will say it again... a boucy ride is usually a result of springs too stiff, and shock too worn. Since you got new shocks, I think you'll be happy. For purchase info, contact SW20 MR2, he can get great prices. PM him...

I would definitely go for the h & r sports. A buddy of mine also had eibach sportlines in his car and I was quite impressed with the ride quality on stock struts from a 90 Si.
