i was reading through some websites and someone wrote that you can basicaly get what a performance chip gives you out of a simple resistor from radio shack, is this true, and if so, what type is it, what are the specs or w/e, what do i ask for

not news... it's almost like a $2 FPR You put it on your IAT sensor, so it thinks it's colder than it is, so it gives it more fuel, thereby reducing your fuel efficiency. IMO, it's ghay

Ive done it before, its not worth the hit in fuel milage... most you will see is abit more pep, like it is in the morning...like when your car is halfway warmed up... your not going to gain a millon hp... no such thing as miracle hp... Try it if u wish, it wont hurt anything...

all it does is add more fuel... if you want more fuel press the vertical pedel

at WOT it does nothing.

by "adding" these resistors you are : tricking the ecu into thinking the engine is still cold because of the absence of the iat sensor not telling the ecu its warmed up therefore it dumps in more fuel, and there will be some power added, but not enough to feel.
