General timing belt question

Hey I was wondering if you guys know how much it would cost to change the timing belt and water pump for a civic ek.

Thanks for any input!

If you guys know a good place to get it done let me know.

your looking at around $100 for the parts. Maybe a bit less.

the pump should be around $60-80 (depending where you go) and the belt should be around $15.

Go to Leading Edge Motors they are one of the affiliates.. Had my timing belt and water pump done there. Just buy the parts from Honda and go there to get it done. Probably take half the time and cost rather then getting it installed at Honda.

A belt and pump from Honda will be around $175. A mechanic would charge anywhere from $100 to $300. Check with some of the Affiliates or the mechanics mentioned on the board.

Don't forget to replace all your seals when doing timing belt.

Parts for lude (not sure of difference for Civic):

Timing Belt, Balancer Belt, 2 cam seals, crank seal, balancer seal, water pump, auto tensioner, and coolant (did coolant flush).

Parts cost list price (Honda): $521.84 before tax
Parts cost for TCC member (Parkway Honda): $333.84 before tax

Labour cost for me: $500 at RT, but I also did oil change, tune up, replace both front lower ball joints, rotate and balance wheels.
