gauges

hey guys im wondering what the difference is between mechanical and elctrical on gauges.i know eletrical is better but whats the diff thanks.

well mechanical means that you acutally have to bring, lets say oil, to the back of the guage, while an electric guage has a solenoid that reads the pressure and sends the signal to the guage.

ohhhh so what would you reccomend for a boost gauge?

basically mechanical you have to hook up to your engine and electrical you just hook up to the electrical system.. so if you want them inside your car it'd probably be easier to go electrical..
