Gas peddle probs...
Most of them time when I am slowing down to come to a stop my car idles at 2000rpm. It will stay here until I give it a tiny bit of gas, then it will drop down to the normal 600 or whatever. I am thinking it is something to do with the gas peddle getting stuck because it is pretty stuff, but it's odd because the majority of the time it only happens on really hot days.
Any tips appreciated.
Thanks!

sticky throttle cable
next time you come to a swap, put your foot under the gas pedal and lift up with your toe.
if the idle goes down, its a sticky throttle cable, and you need to replace it.
difficulty level: 0
takes about 5 mins and a 12mm wrench to change a throttle cable.

Yeah, tried to lift up the gas peddle when it was idling at 2000rpm, and it did nothing. The only way it drops down the normal (600 or so) is if I tap the gas once more, while it's idling.

this sounds really odd...
shows all the symptoms of a sticky throttle cable..
This is what I would do:
-take off your throttle cable @ the butterfly on the intake manifold and check for smoothness and play.
-take off your intake, look inside the throttle body, play with the butterfly, check for varnish build up.
-use a throttlebody cleaner.
check hose connections, and sensor connections.
-pull the ECU fuse, reset ECU (about a minute) start the car and let it idle for 5-6 minutes untouched. just let the computer work itself out.
see how that works for you.

LoL.
I oiled up the throttle body, and that got rid of my high idle AND sticky gas peddle. It may not be sticking because, like I said, it usually happens on hot days. But looks like all it needed was a lil' TLC...and oil. Thanks for the help guys!

Oh god... I really highly recommend you take it out and clean it right... oil in the t-body just isn't right... it's varnish buildup from your car sitting a lot... do it right now that you know where your problem is.
