Gas milage getting worse??

Ok, I need to know? Should I go see the dealer on this??

It is my first car so im a little nutty with it...

1st tank 8.2L/100km
2nd tank 8.8L/100km
3rd tank 11L/100km ?????

why is my tank so much worse? this roughly translates into around 500km on the first two and barely 400 on the 3rd. Anyone eslse experiencing a drastic decrease? Argh! help?

Myabe as the car is getting broken in, the mileage is getting a little worse. What kind of driving are you doing now? More city maybe or you could be drving the car harder.

if you have a brand new car.
then check the manufacturers window sticker it will say how much you should be expecting between highway and city and do some calculations and then you will know if its right or wrong.

Damn, I've got a B16 in my 93 DX and I get between 500-600k to a tank. At dead even from the top half of my tank my trip is at roughly 300-350k depending on how I'm driving. For some reason though my tranny has incredibly short gears. By about 70km/h I'm shifting into 5th at around 2800 rpm. Maybe that helps with the city driving?

I've got a 2000 Si, D16Y8 with an intake, and I'm lucky to get 400 to the tank. One time with purely highway driving I got 500 and I was past the lowest fuel line. Something must be wrong, but I've come to accept it.

That's not bad. I bet you have a manual tranny, right? In my '04 I barely get 500kms on a tank of gas for both city/hwy driving. Maybe b/c it's automatic and b/c it's an Si it consumes more.

Regarding that 11L/100km for that '06 I think that's a bit too much. I would ask the dealer about that.
