Right now no matter how much gas I put in my tank the needle never gets up into the full line or higher as most gauges do. Mine sits about 1-2 cm below that. I was wondering how labour intensive and what parts I will need to replace in order to get an accurate reading of how much gas is actually in the tank.

yea maybe it's closer to about 1 cm ... still it's definately off the mark for accuracy sake and it would be nice to know exactly how much is in the tank instead of guessing and crossing my fingers =)

your going to need to first check the wiring to the sensor at the tank ..... then your going to want to check the sensor ... and possibly replace the sensor

The sender unit is inside the fuel tank. But it's hard to say whether you fuct your gauge or whether the sender is bad. Did you put indiglos or other gauge faces on maybe?
