Check your ECU, maybe its throwing a code?
Check your gas tank for a leak?

How much millage could you get a on tank usually?

Yea this is a good topic, cause I'm getting at most 330 kms per tank, mostly city driving though... But I thought a civic is supposed to make like 400 kms at least per tank? If you find out what's causing your fuel consumption problem lmk, might be the same thing that's wrong with mine.

My mileage was only around 330km's about a month ago.. but just a few days ago I went over 370 with about 1/5 tank left and I never rev'd passed 3.

try a Fuel Injector cleaner, wouldn't hurt

Take into consideration that our cars are working harder in this weather. I get 4-415km's when driving like grandpa.

i had the same problem..i used stp fuel injector cleaner...it says to use the entire bottle in a whole tank,....don't fill up like half, so the formula is mroe concentrated adn works more effectively...

second, maby its the spark plugs, third, make sure u r tires have the proper amount of air...and thats as much about cars as i know...

I rev my car pretty hard and get around 500km. If you live in Scar. or Toronto, you would properly see an insane civic driving 100km in a 60 zone, I am murdering the engine - launching from all stop lights. So, now you can see why I think you have a problem, Civic is economical. I also use injector cleaners, it works, alot faster too. But I do not garantee it will work for you. DON'T use too much of the cleaner, it WILL BURN your CAT. CONVERTER.

I go to a shop that can do FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...... check ups, only check ups, nothing else.

In July after my drive clean, I replaced my O2 sensor. I started getting 360 km's to a half tank but that has since dropped to under 300 km. I drive 130 km's a day highway plus some city driving is this average? Can a O2 sensor go bad after 6 month's cause I want my fuel millage back up since I fill up every 3 days!

i get around 350 in my 98 civic with no cat. that is driving it like my mom would, although there is the occasional push to higher rpm's.

Get an engine diagnostic done at Crappy Tire. It will tell you what might be wrong with it.

I think it's the O2 sensor.

My millage....... average.......400+......close to 500 if I drive easy.

i got like 450kms on my 94 corolla 1.6L like 2 months ago.. a full tank.
but lately it has been staying around the 300's im pretty sure its b/c the amount of time i leave the car on for letting it warm up.

Guys,
Remember its winter time, and all of our cars are usually in 'warm up mode' for a bit... which means it'll waste a heck of a lot more gas than in the summertime.
