fuel pump dying???

hey guys some times when i go to start my car the fuel pump doesnt prime and the main relay doesnt click its kind of a hit or miss.i also tried a different main relay and it didnt fix the problem so i think it might be the fuel pump.who a dying fuel pump cause this to happen and also cut out while driving.

edit:went to recheck it and now when the car shuts off by itself the fuel pump keeps on turning on every like 2 seconds???and keep son re-priming.

if the main relay doesn't click, then it's something before the relay, not the pump. ie. ignition switch or wiring or ECU

im starting to think its the ignition switch because it will randomly turn the pump on whenever it wants.its definitely not a relay issue and i just regrounded my grounds with 4 gauge wires to make sure they were good. to change the ignition switch i wouldnt need a new key would i?

i have the same problem sometimes.. what i would suggest, take ur relay off, bend the plugs inside a bit to make a better connection...

ya they wouldnt be broken, if you take a relay out, see the metal pins/plugs inside, what i did was with mine i bent them a slight bit so they make a better connection with their plug... i have had my car die on me while driving, and ohhh is it a **** off... but thats what i did to solve my problem, dont bend too much but just a little
