fuel pump

is there any way to check if you need a new fuel pump?
i am asking cos my car stalled yesterday and woulnd start back up. the car was turning over fine. i checked the battery with the car off and it read 12.5 volt and with the car on it read 15 volts. i sounded like the car was choking or not getting enough fuel. if not the fuel pump what else could it be? oh yeah i changed my fuel filter last month so thats fine.:shrugs:

When you turn the key to ACC, you should hear a buzz coming from the gas tank. That's the pump priming (building system pressure). If no buzz-check relay, if relay good, then pump bad. Me monkey man! :D
