Fuel line kinda tight, solution?

So, the fuel line between the fuel filter and fuel rail is like streching, it connects, but there is no play, and I don't want to keep this condition forever (though my engine doesn't move inside the engine bay due to hard urethane mounts, but still).

I was doing research and know that there is ss braided line with blue AN fittings and whatnot, and most of those are from USA. I would like something I can get locally, just to save time on waiting.

Are there other solutions out there? Like cut the line and extend it? Or use other Honda fuel lines from other vehicles that are longer?

Thanks yo!

what engine in what car? You prolly just don't have the proper fuel line.

Capo 23-Nov-2005 06:00 PM

you could always just buy some braided SS line with the right fittings and put it together yourself

good ting u asked b/c my Integra has a leak, and i ight go SS braided lines

zeeman 23-Nov-2005 07:18 PM

Chigga 1 i would first try replacing the 2 little crush washers and make sure they are on in the proper order.

now that u brought this up...
i've been trying to find a replacment since mine is exactally the same.... luckly my engine doesn't move much .... just like urs

i would investigate a fuel line from a 99-00 civic SIR. I suggest this because it is setup for a b-series engine from the factory, so it may have a longer fuel line to accomodate the b-series engine.

I asked Parkway, SiR fuel line + 4 washers = 112 or there about.

I will see what SS braided line will cost.

SiR and D16 have the same length?

Nova_Dust 25-Nov-2005 02:34 PM

Well I ordered Russell fuel line, works out to be about the same price as OEM and also, it is 18" long so for sure, it should fit.

where'd you order it from and how much total?

Nova_Dust 25-Nov-2005 03:43 PM

Summit racing, 76.64 USD shipped via USPS. Works out to be around 92 dollars.

OEM will be around 96 tax in and with member discount.

http://www.fast-turbo.com/Images/Pro...20Kit/FLK1.JPG Fast-Turbo.com has em for $59US shipped for almost the same thing, id get it but i dont like the red and blue fittings:P

Nova_Dust 26-Nov-2005 03:02 AM

Russell is banjo fitting and Fast-Turbo is, well, shown in the picture. I was going to get Fast-Turbo but the guy returned my IM slower than I expected so I went with Summit.

Damn, I forgot that price didn't include shipping but it is a tube, I guess it should be cheap. But most of the aftermarket fittings are ano-blue or red.

I think it looks alright.
