Unhappy Front Rotor Screw

Hey guys,
I was replacing a front rotor on my 2000 SiR and while remoing the fastening screws, I stripped the head out of one. Now I don't know how to get it out. Any homemade solutions?? The screw head surface is flat and it sits in from the surface of the rotor because the hole is counter-sunk.

drill it out in the center untill it falls off, take the rotor off and clamp vise grips on it . . . don't drill too deep as its a pan heas screw. . common sense wil ltell you how deep to go

if you look behind it you'll see that the hole goes right through it, so what i did was i took a pair of vice grips and just basically kept turning it until it went all the way throught (sorta tightening it) then made the trip to CT and bought some replacements...

Thanks for the input guys. So here's what happened. Got a screw extractor set. Drilled the screw out. Then I broke the extractor off in the hole. A buddy is gunna help me out with it on friday. Just when you think the job is going to be simple!!

Here's what I did.

Used a dremmel or die grinder with a friction blade and cut a slot across the screw head. I cut into the rotor a bit too but didn't care since I was replacing them.

Then I torched the screw head for a bit.

Then used a big slotted screwdriver to remove it.

No problem.

FYI I wouldn't recommend trying to drill the extractor as usually these are made of very hard steel which also tends to be quite brittle. Thats probably the reason why it broke come to think of it.

Next time, use a larger drill bit and drill all of the tapered head off the screw. That way the rotor will come of and you will be left with just a stud screwed into the hub which you can then remove with a pair of vise grips.
Since you like fire, you can also cut a slot across the stud and use a screwdriver to take the stud out.
