Thumbs up final opinion ....new springs!!!!!!!!!

here it is, simple and sweet:

i have a 98 civic si. (DAILY DRIVER )
i want to lower it. ( dont mind spending $300 to do it properly)
I dont want to put in new struts, or shocks.
Simply - coilovers / or springs?
leaning towards springs personally ....i think it would be better then coilover setup.

now i just gotta know what to go with and which brand?
skunk2, H&R, Neuspeed??? and or anything else there under $300.

any help from owners with these products would be amazing.

p.s and yes i know this is the same dam thread a million other ppl start every day.
but i jut want a final decision from ppl who use have experience with these products. and info from ppl on what would be best for my car and use.
are they ok in snow?

H&R is a really nice spring... I have full H&R coilovers and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I have H&R Sports on both my cars and I couldn't be happier. They are low enough to look good, but not too stiff for a daily driver. I drove my 98 for almost 70k's on stock shocks without any problems. Those Neuspeeds are a good deal and comparable to the H&R's in drop/performance.

I don't know anyone that has Skunk2 springs, but they are pretty low according to their website. You failed to mention Tein S-Tech as a choice. They are as low as the H&R/Neuspeeds, but have a softer spring rate for comfort.

I'm in Hamilton too, so send me a pm if you want to see my car or go for a ride.

Oh, I think we should leave the post open. Maybe all the other noobs will see who is voting for what and stop starting new threads.

have you considered looking at progress springs? they are nice too , ride is smooth with stock shocks , and the height is exactly waht you will be expecting a nice stance

don't forget now, most ppl here have only experienced one spring... so it's like asking a color blind person to compare blue and green. haha

and THAT is the reason these threads suck

H&R vote from me
