Few questions regarding an EK

1) I have a 5 speed dx with a mini me swap off a automatic si. Im running the ECU off the auto si (and my car is 5 speed) so my question is, does it matter in any way if im running a ecu out of a auto or manual si? (my car being stick).

2) Whats the best size exhaust pipe to go with in a ek with a gsr swap or with a b20b (crv) swap? Im guessing 2-1/4?

3) Will 1.6 EL rear leathers fit an ek?

Thanx for your help...

Re: Few questions regarding an EK

1. you can get your computer changed to manual for less than $100.....but it doesnt do anything bad.....you might have engine check light on

2. 2.5" exhaust would probably be the best size exhaust for that setup...which is what im getting on my GSR motor

As long as its a 4dr EK, you can swap those in. Not sure about 2dr or Hatch.

i would go with 2.5" as well....and i do believe EL rear seats will fit.
Doesn't the auto ecu have a lower rev limit?

2.5" (63mm) exhaust and as long as the rear seat is 40/60 split (which I believe they are), you are fine.

ECU, I heard you shouldn't use auto for standard and vice versa. But that's what I read on that ECU Tuning site, I forgot what it was called.

thanx for the help guys, zeeman you are right, with the auto ecu i cant shift further than 6900 rpm or something so i guess thats the only reason why its not a good idea to go with the auto ecu...

i already have a 2 and 1/4" exhaust so no point in going another quarter thicker...but honestly with my pretty much stock sohc motor my car feels even slower than with the stock exhaust at low rpm's (no friggin torqueeee)...

Alex do you have EL leathers in your car? I have GSR front's but i need some rears! I had the gsr rears too but they did not fit so i sold them...

I have always read that aftermarket exhaust, you lose a bit of torque but gain HP in higher RPM's.
