Few Problems with my car needs answers

Hi Guys,

Here is goes, i don't know how many of them are having the same problem, I need a solution its pissing me off.

When the car is on idle the temp looks fine and fan works. But, when i drive in the highways.. The TEMP goes up all the way, sometimes i can prevent that by turnin on the heat all the way and turn on the heater and then the gague comes down a lil bight 3/4..... or even 1/2.....
I changed my Thermostart, and filled up with new Coolant.. still....

even like when i put my power windows down, up...sometimes turn on the heater all the way..the Temp gague goes up....even when i put my turning signals on....lol

it happens mainly on the DAY time..........and my DRL is gone to.....

so basicall i got three problems in my car..

1st My Iginiton key is stiff..cann't take out the key... i need to wiggle it around back and forth.....

2nd, my horn does not work.... when i press the horn i hear a clickin nose under the dash..

3rd.. and this is number one PRIORITY, please some one HELP!!..
THanks..

If your temperature gauge goes up when you use a fairly small and momentary electrical load like power wndows or turn signals, you might just be looking at an electrical problem with your temperature sending unit or gauge.

Try hooking in an external temperature gauge and see what it does.

For your horn, take off your bumper and press the horn. If all lines are connected and the horn has grounding and still no sound, then buy a horn, new or used.

If by turning on or off an accessory causes your temp gauge to go up or down....it's gotta be wiring or something electrical...

And your horn...if you hear clicking then your fuse and relay are ok but you need to check the wiring at the horn end....same as nova said...if the wires and connections are good....you need a new horn...

Thanks guys for all the help..

some answers...
- I got no Coolant leakage
- I re-filled my coolant..might try a flushing..
- Thermostat has been changed
- Well, i tested out somthin in the morning..
to start I got a DRL problem
- so at night when i turn my lights on..my TEMP gagus does not give a lot of a problem...it only goes up 1/2 way...it does not go all the way.
- in th emoring I turned on my night lights...so the temp stayed at 1/2 way..once in a while it goes up and come back down..its not like it stays on all the way..

NEW PROBLEM! lol
- When i start my car today... it started with the big amount of smoke coming off from my exaaust..it smell burned...after it on idle..its fine.....
maybe for winter? or sumthin burning?..its only does it when i start in the morning...cold start...

WARM start..no problem..like when i the car ran for a while and turn off the car and turn on the car.....its ok..

ANY SOLUTION MUCH APPRICATED!!..

Big smokes... you could be either burning oil (piston rings) or coolent?

As for the key, is your ignition tempered before or is your key bent or cut in anyway? Got a pic of the ignition and the key?

burnt oil normally has a burnt smell to it.

Check for oil leaks. The smoke and the smell could be un-related.

Judging from the number and type of issues your describe, try the following steps in the order given...

1. Get full insurance on it.

2. Bath your engine area with a good amount of strong solvent

3. Light the fuse.

4. Run.
