maybe its just me or i'm not familiar with quality brands
but i haven't heard of it... where you heard it from?

just grab an exedy clutch on ebay if you're talking about oem stock replacement.... or go back to honda....

exedy clutches suck. i have seen the pressure plates come apart a bunch of times. go honda if its a stock engine, ACT if its got some power.

Daikin/EXEDY makes Honda OEM clutches. I can't really explain your experiences, but Exedy is a proven name.

thats my thoughts exactly.....on the exedy i got its got the exact writing as the OEM on it so i was under the assumption that they are the same, but then again leitner has the most knowledge on the board

Check out Eurodrive in Birlington if your looking for a replacement. http://www.euro-drive.com/performance.htm. They made me a custom Kevlar(Cluchtex) clutchdisk for 180 bucks to mate my 88 tranny to a 92 flywheel. Great products at reasonable prices and awesome people to deal with.

maybe its just the time-to-time experience... like you're unlucky, i pick up a defective piece... but you won't know until you really install and used it, right?

i always thought exedy was proven like the reasons mentioned above... and i know no doubt ACT are good...

i still for exedy, things can't go too wrong...

if that's all you need, I don't see why you are worried about brand names.

only when you apply some power should you worry about the pressure plate, quality of the dampner springs, clamping force, heat dissipation, friction material.

a clutch will last proportionally to how you drive.
