Falken Tires

I was just wondering about the quality of Falken tires... I'm kinda looking at the ZE-512 tires and I've read fairly decent reviews... and yes i know there not gonna outperform tires that cost $200+ each... I'm more curious about where Falkens stand in the overall scheme of tire and if it's a quality tire or nothing better than a crappy motomaster tire... any input would be appreciated

yea so far the reviews ive read are pretty positive... I can get a set of 4 installed for 350 all in... which is typically what u'd get crappy motomasters for... so I think it's probably pretty reasonable.. I'm just wonderin what ppl's personal exp are...

i had these tires before, they are ok but interms of performance handleing they are a little week. they have a soft compound on them, but if you want to get some good tires i would get kuhmo's 712 thats what i have now and i feel they grab better and in the rain on the wet roads they are awsome, i have hit some deep puddles and no hydroplaneing at all and if hydroplaneing has ever happend to anyone you all know its not fun.

Matt, the wet traction is important when your car is a daily driver.... mine is not!

my problem is i cannot get those kuhmo's in the size i need... i need 185 60 14's they start in 195 60 14's and when i first bought the car and it definately lacked a bit of pep and that was partially due to tire size.. when i threw on the winters which are the 185's the accelleration difference was amazing.. Maybe ill see what else i can get in this size

I've been running Falken for 3 sets of tires now... 1st set I don't remember, second set was GRB-2 Ziex 512 I think, and currently Azenis.

The GRBs got really slippy when they started to wear out. Like under 25% tread, even on a dry summer day, I could drift the car like it was on black ice.
