Failed Emission need help

I took my 88 Acura Legend for its emission test yesterday, and it failed pretty bad, the results where off the charts. here they are

hc ppm limit 58 reading 171

co% limit .32 reading 1.78
NO ppm 652 reading 89

at idle

hc ppm limit 200 reading 301

co% limit 1 reading 2.24

I don't want to pay $450, Just wondering if u guys think its a good idea if i tune the car up replace air filter all that and try again. The car runs pretty good, I wouldn't of thought it would fail. And does anyone have a contact that could maybe help pass for cheaper than $450? I think its just ridiculous to pay that much, it defeats the whole purpose of stardardize emission testing.

try doing the tune up thing with oil change and stuff...also make sure the car is running at optimum temperature when tested, and maybe try putting some premium fuel in there for the test, heard that helps some older cars pass the test

what i want to know is will it pass after i do all that, cause it did failed badly.

u definetly need to do those things like oil change and fill up ur car with premium a week before and run ur car on premium so it cleans it up. try 'guaranteed to pass' if you dont care what u put in ur car and jus want it to pass. 9.99 cdn tire
