F20B swap
Is this swap the same as an H22. how many H22 parts are compatible with F20B
Euro type R or sir-t what type of linkage does it use Any help is greatly appreciated |
almost the same, little less TQ though due to the smaller displacement, but it rev's to 8.8k no problems!
Its Cable BTW, h22 parts are completely compatible with it as well. |
I have an H22 tranny can I use it on the f20b engine I think i read that i could somewhere

to convert the f20b to obd1 I just chip a P28 With a p13 base map and tune from there right

The F20B is basically a destroked version of the H22A motor used in the CF4s, so yes everything matches.
As for converting down to OBD1, you can use a P28 (Civic Si) for the ecu, but you will need to do some re-wiring and in the end you're going to lose your knock sensor, secondary butterflies, EGR, etc... Most shops that do H/F series swaps out there use either a P28 or P72 setup.. Linkage in the F/H series is all cable. You can use pretty much any accord / lude linkage, just depends on the car it's going into. |

Not a problem..
The H and F series motors are not much heavier than a B series.. I think somewhere in the range of 40-60lbs. Difference between an H and D is like 100+, but people alway complain go B cuz its lighter, but hell, what's 50lbs?? Most people that do H/F series remove A/C, which right there accounts for most of that extra weight. Many also remove P/S because they don't want to spend more money on a special mount and belt to keep it. So in my opinion the weigh is negligible and the stock power of the H/F is definitely worth the swap. The only real negative things about it is that once you go H/F, you can't easily go back to anything else because you have to physically cut the passenger side mount bracket and shifter area. Also that if anything ever goes wrong, working on the car is very difficult.. IE - Master cylinder would pretty much require you to remove or atleast loosen the engine mounts and push the engine forward.. |
