I really like TiAL wastegates. Work very well and decently priced.

Tial sounds like the one you need for your budget.

Just don't go Deltagate. How much HP are you planning on pushing?

Although piecing together your own kit is the way to go, you can't go cheap on everything. You get what you pay for. If you want performance, you're gonna have to sacrifice to pay for at least some good stuff.

The wastegate can support whatever boost level you want to run. For higher boost you simply need to change the spring inside. Not sure how the Tial spring rates go but the HKS one starts with a .8 bar spring and then increase.

Of course having a boost controller will negate you having to change the spring but it always advised to have the spring changed to suit the amount of boost you are running.

You really should go to Honda-tech.com to do some more research in their Forced Induction forum. You can get great info from them as well.

I hate to say it, but being cheap in your goal of 300whp is gonna get you nowhere but a toasted motor. If you can't afford the parts now, save up.

The other commonly-used wastegates on the market are quite expensive. Deltagates are crap, and Greddy/HKS units are expensive.

Your other option is to just buy a turbo with an internal wastegate. Some of them will creep depending on your setup.
