exhuast and valve cover problems
 
hey i just have a couple of question hopefully someone out there can help me out

first i have want to install a new valve cover put can't get the three out of four nuts on the corner so what should i do

second i just got a new spoon axle back exhaust right now i got a full exhuast on mt eg but i was going to but it in my house there is no where to mounth the nuts of the exhuast to the end of my old exhaust

so hopefully someone can help me out

1. well if you can't get the nuts out, then it's time to pay someone who can. there is no way around that... you can cut the nuts off, take the valve cover off, then pray to god you can remove the studs using visegrips, and then buy new studs from Honda.

2. you need to have an exhaust shop weld on a flange for you so you can mount the exhaust. I'd just have the shop do the exhaust install.

well if its the 4 outside nuts then you can break them off no problem, get the valve cover off and use a regular 10mm wrench or deep socket to unscrew the busted stud. Then go to honda and buy new studs.
If they're inside ones (that also hold down the spark plug cover) then they're like $8-13 each from honda....but you can remove them in the same fashion, but they also hold the cam caps in place, so when installing them back in you'll need to torque them down to 20 or 21ft/lbs.
Of course this is only if this is a DOHC VTEC (if i remember correctly you were building a LSvtec or something?).
