exhaust wrap

does anybody know where I can find this for the cheapest price possible?? I've been looking and cheapest so far was $50

thats probably the cheapest u can find it, this stuff is pretty expensive, when i did my turbo d this was the cheapest price i could find aswell

Sucks mang. I remember awhile back some dude on honda-tech was selling goverment issued thermal wrap! Search for the good ish.

wraps around whatever you want.. and either protects it from heat.. or keeps the heat in.

pros: reduces engine bay temperature, can protect wiring/hoses/whatever.

is it necessary? hell no..

but for me it is.. its either that or replace a few hoses every few weeks

cons: metal expands, and the heat wrap doesnt allow it to, potentially causing cracks.

i've heard of people that have wrapped their header and they take the wrap off one day and the header is rusted to **** and the wrap was the only thing holding it together.. it would probably take a long time for that to happen but its pretty funny to hear..
