Question Exhaust Tech

Alot of people think that I'm for wanting to do this. But... I was wondering if anyone has or knows of anyone who has replaced thier muffler with one from a sportbike(stock can). Ie..ninja,cbr,busa,etc... I personally think it'll make a nice sound. As far as performance gains but Im just looking for a bit of opinions on this.

How much does a Sport bike exhaust cost vs one for your car?
I would bet it will be more expensive for the sport bike exhaust .

first of all let me start off by saying you're

Sport bikes are really loud, but they don't have the same type of exhaust systems as a car. They don't have the same catalytic convertors and they do not have resonators, both of which quiet down the exhaust.

So a sport bike muffler will sound quieter on a car... however your engine displacement is alot larger.

Flow is Flow...

you're more likely better getting a straight through design muffler which is very similar to the sport bike muffler design.

From what Im told by some bike people is the back pressure is less than my stock muffler. Also the size of the pipe on the Bike can is 2-1/4' ish. And well a stock DX pipe is like a McDonalds straw.

One more thing, as far as me being I know that already. But I do things in the name of originality.

people in europe do this quite often as bike exhausts are cheaper and easier to come by than car ones...its been done, I've seen it and if I get a chance I'll dig up some pics

I know for sure there is a VW running dual bike mufflers comin straight out the rear, looks sweet
