Which exhaust system?

Hey,

I know everyone says the Ractive N1 rear section is loud, but how loud can it be with a stock setup?

Well anyways, I'm looking for an exhaust axle back or system for my hatch and I was wondering which system would be good. Now the hard part is that I only want to spend no more than $400-500.

I really dont care about the performance since the hatch is only 109hp anyways. I just want something to sound good, not too loud, and to look good.

Also, does anyone know how much the Apex-i World Sport exhaust goes for in Toronto? I know the Apex WS is probably the choice - it looks good and is quite. Also, the Ractive N1 axle back looks good too, but ppl say its too loud. (how loud can it be with a stock setup?)

Also any other suggestions? Nothing expensive please.
Thanks.

I think the RSR ExMag is also suppose to be quiet...

I wish mine was quiet... 2.5 all the way back... my resonator is pretty much the straight length of my B pipe and i run a 4x9 magnaflow, still LOUD

I am running 4-2-1 header w/2.5" collector to a 2.5" high flow cat to 2.5" pipe with resonator to a magnaflow muffler and its not that loud.
Don't spend $400 on an axel back, thats way too much. You can get a cat back for about $600 and up.

besides, the difference between an axle back and catback is that the catback includes the midpipe and the axle back is only the rear section.

I have a Power1 Exhaust witha 2.5 inch Custome cat back, but it was WAY WAY too loud but no ugly high pitch sound nice deep tone, but i put in a resonator in it because of that and it's such a nice deep tone to it, makes me cry

Just drop $120 on any pipe(muffler) you want. Go to Hot Rod Scott's or some other shop and ask them to whip you up a cat back. Give them the Pipe so you don't have to buy one off them. I got Quoted $600 to put dual exhuast's on my Malibu. It shoudl be almost half of that to do a 2 1/4 cat back on a civic. If you do it that way it might be a little bit cheaper and your getting a Cat back and not an axle back.

cheap but good quality alternative is megan racing exhaust system. Its full stainless steel midpipe and axelback sections.

www.meganracing.com

IMO apexi WS is a little too quiet.

go to acura and buy an Integra Type-R muffler, and have custom 2 1/4" piping installed with that muffler

I have a WS2 and it's quiet; louder than stock, but you can't hear it if you have your radio on at low volume. I's a great system and astroboy hooked me up with a great deal on it, also.

I'm not sure how it fits with stock exhaust manifold/cat/down pipe setup.
