Exhaust manifold header question

Hey,

I broke my exhaust manifold. one of the pipes is cracked pretty much the whole way around. Instead of welding it, I can get a bolt on header for $300. I think it's Ractive.

I'm guessing this won't make a difference unless I change all the other stuff?

How much more would it cost? $500? $1000?

Any ideas or recomendations? The last thing I want is a massive muffler, and I don't want my car to sound any louder than it is really. The cold air is enough. haha

Thanks,
Sev

Same thing happened to me today. I got quoted for $750... but that includes a new cat converter.

quoted $750 for just the exhaust manifold and catalytic convertor?

Includes labor, but I don't know if that's good still...

I have a used one in good condition.. throw me a pm...

btw ractive headders sell for under 250

but for d16y7 (with cat built into the manifold) you have to buy a new cat pluse exhaust install ect...it adds up quick.
