Exhaust Idle/Reset Ecu Questions.

So today i got a new exhaust, and i have a few questions. First of all, I have a CEL, which i believe is due to the o2 sensor in the exhaust. I was told to just reset the ecu. However i do not have the code for my stereo so i dont want to unplug the battery. Then i read that some people recommended just pulling the ecu fuse. Would this work? And which fuse is it, i looked in the fusebox and i doesnt say ecu anywhere.
Also, another problem im having is that my car is idling really low. We are talking like the second line after 0 on the tach. Its at the point where it will shudder sometimes. Is this due to a loss in backpressure? Or is this part of the CEL, and the car just needs to relearn its new mods?
Thanks for any help, I'm pretty worried. :(

As far as I know, there is not ECU fuse. THe fuse you're probably refering to is the radio's fuse under the hood which will reset your stereo anyway (which is what you're trying to avoid). I'd try to get your stereo code, or find someone who has an obd II (or obd I depending on what car you have) tool to erase the codes.

Once you get rid of your CEL light, your car will idle properly. What car do you have? And where exactly is the secondary o2 sensor located? It should be located somewhere after your cat.

PM me. I've got the scanner from work at home for the next week or so. I'll check the code and clear it for you.
All for the price of a lg double double from Tim's!:)

I think the fuse is marked ECM in the under hood fuse box. Pull it for a few minutes, reinsert it, start the car, but don't turn anything on and just let it idle for a few minutes.
