Exhaust flexpipe
i'm planning on getting an exhaust done from my DP back... i wanna bring my own parts to the shop cause it's cheaper...
so i was looking @ flexpipes and some come with nipples while some are blank... what's the difference? do i need the nipples or not? and also... does it matter what the length of the flexpipe is? i see them range from like 4"-12" |
nipple......thats a terrible word...nipple........... but no i have no idea, do you even need flex pipe.
|
ya, why do you need a flex pipe? do you have a turbo or something? flex pipes tend not to last too long.. at least on my old talon they didnt.

don't hack up your 06 Civic, if that's what you're talking about. buy a commercially available catback system, or don't do it at all.
if it's not the 06 civic but rather some other car, clue us in... |
it's actually for another car... exhaust for turbo setup... i just posted the question here because it's basically a universal question and i posted it on a bunch of forums i frequent and nobody had a clue...
but i just found out it means the ends of the flex that you weld onto the pipe going into/outof the flex are longer so you can also slip it into/over the pipe ur welding it 2... they use such a weird name to describe this |
The ones with out the nipples will let the pipe slip into the flex.
so if you get a 3" x 6" flex your 3" pipe will slip into the flex. The ones wiht the ends on them im not sure about if they slip fit or not. Probally cheaper to get the ones with out the nipples. as for size 6"-8" is plenty |
