Ok, I had my exhaust put on by Midus muffler. It is a totally legal and legit exhaust. A cop pulled me over and claimed he could hear my exhaust in his car, windows up over his CB. How do the cops judge an exhaust?? Do they go by a noise code for your area or what? Can they do anything about your exhaust if they think it is to loud but it is legal and legit??

Talk to a cop all about this... Depends on the cop... They dont go by any noise amount tester or anything stupid like that.... The officer has the authority to determin if he thinks it is to loud or not... So depending if you get a nice cop or a dick cop if your exhaust is like every other modd'd exhaust louder then stock lol if he thinks its too loud then he has the authority to give you a ticket... you can still fight it in court though and either get it reduced or maybe dropped but its a hassle having to go threw all that.... and by you saying its legal and legit im assuming your talking about theres not all holes in it or its ok by emmissions and stuff... that doesnt really matter if im right on what your asking.... its up to him to decide if he thinks its too loud and disturbing..

and what condition would that be?!?!? its stored for the winter and cleary stated everything was in pieces for the winter.. everything from the rims being off to the fiberglass box was out so was the midddle console, so were all the other plastic pieces for the bottom of the dash including the plastic clip on pieces that cover the edge between the carpet in the metal.. **** even the corners were out.. i was trying to help you out with your other thread but from the comment you made in the thread above this then go ahead and port and polish your little 88 bud...

did the cop endup giving u a ticket? if so go fite it, they almost always throw out the exhaust tickets

haha no.. The cop tried to say I was doing 100 in an 80 when I had a mini van driving right beside me doing 80.. Called the cop a liar.. Guess it pissed him off so he started on my muffler.

just go fight it off if your muffler is legit... you'll likely get it dropped!
but then the cop serves you right... you never talk back that way to the cop man... that's just stupid shyte... u really trash too much man... no doubt!!!
if you gonna mod your car, you first learn how to talk with polite and manner with cops and respect others, no more shyte talk around... or you'll just be running into trouble all the time (the cops tend to look for you again if they don't like you)

think of cops as bouncers.. assuming you have no connections and a bouncer says you don't make 'style code'... saying "you fool, that guy on in with blue jeans. you're an idiot' is not going to make him rethink his decision to let you in.

have respect, suggest he may have been mistaken. if he writes up a speeding ticket, ask to see the radar reading. if he doesn't have one... you're free.

Not completly true... In some instences they are allowed to pace you... a fancy word for guessing the speed your going by looking at there speedo and comparing it to how much faster your going.... ****ty law...

Naa, I am not gonna be nice to some pig that is trying to give me a ticket for something I haven't done. He can blow it out his ***. I'm sure most of the cops around have dash mounted cameras. If they want to review that then their more then welcome to. Besides that if they pull you over for something stupid like that, ask them if you can see the radar. If they can't prove how fast you were going by showing you the radar they can't do anything. No proof, no evidance, no case right?

I am already trying to fight a "Running Red" ticket. Another of which I got for something I didn't do. It was freezing rain, I was comming to a light, light changed to yellow. Had I applied my brakes I would have slid into the intersection right into the cop that was going through. Instant ticket.. BIG ticket.. Lost of licience ticket.. So I tried to make it, some dick pulles out in front of me, forces me to break hard and do some pretty agressive driving. So insted of agressive driving charge he nails my *** for the Red.. Stupid *** pigs just gotta make a quota.

Of corse I'm going to be a dick, I pay 400 dollars a month for insurance, I am still more of less paying off my car. I have other expenses.. I'm not living off my parents money, I work hard for what little I get. I can't afford tickets that I don't deserve. But lets put my shoes on your feet for a second, your driving down the road. It's freezing rain, green changes to yellow. You have a choice, try to stop and risk sliding into the intersection with traffic trying to move through the intersection where odds are your going to hit them. Or do you try to beat the red?? Come on smart guy what do you do?? Tbone a cop.. or beat the red... Cop.. Red.. HMMMM lets think about this for a moment.. Lets see, running a red, hitting another car, a cop car.. Well that's 3 charges alone right?? Now Tboning the driver side of a cop car will probly do some injury to the cop.. Another charge. So theirs 4 chargers.. 2 on an officer.. That is either going to be a huge friggin fine, jail time or loss of licience.. OR hell all 3.. Now which do you choose?? Beat the red.. or Hit the officer smart guy..

you fu(kin kill me hahaha... you dont think ive been in your position?!?! you dont think most people on this board have been in your position?!?! even with my civic before this i got pulled over weekly getting harrassed day after day about my exhaust and mirror tinted windows... the only reason i ended up getting about 2 tickets for my exhaust and 2 tickets for my tints is because I was yes sir no sir and treating them like they like to be treated... if i didnt i would have had fifty million tickets... you dont get it do you... i dont give a fu(k common keep up your tuff guy attitude and everyone will laugh while you keep getting your tickets.... and its all about you eh just cause your driving a crapped out 88'er(dont get me wrong ive seen some nice ones but you on the other hand) anyway just cause YOUR insurance is $400 a month you dont think other people are getting there shlt pushed in by insurance companys to?? and by the way you didnt do anything to get that $400 a month insurance rate??? whats your driving record like??? if its clean then shop around to other companys.... but im pretty sure its not...

and on a secoond note your little story above is kinda funny how you couldnt have done anything in the world to possibly avoid it.... like if you honestly could not stop for the red light were you speeding??? hmm course you would never admit it but im sure you would have had warning before it just turned red.... and if you couldnt and then sit there and try to explain your whole story to the cop without freaking out trying to act like the big boy or he'll ggive your *** some big boy tickets... if he doesnt listen at least you'll have another chance to explain yourself in court without the judge reading a piece of paper saying how fu(king retarded you were being the to pig when he stopped you...

honestly... how fast were you going during the freezing rain? the yellow should change to red giving you way more time to notice the yellow.... its like... if you see its green... and it turns yellow, it gives you something like 5 secs before it goes red... and you should have slowly start to brake when you see it goes yellow if you still have a distance.... also, if you were going not fast coz of the freezing rain... 5 secs is enough for you to brake... i don't know for you... but i don't see how it isn't possible to brake in time when you ain't driving fast and when you had like 5 more secs to notice the yellow... if you gonna say coz u're going uphill so you can't see the yellow light after you climb up the hill, i'm sure there's some sign saying lights ahead or flashing yellow to notify you a slow down... and you should by standards of a safe driver be driving with cautious when you going uphill... just some common sense, i might be wrong coz i dunno your living area too much... but i notice most yellow lights are like 5+ secs long.... that's why you always see these crazy ***** flying by yellow lights (atleast like 3-4 cars just run a yellow coz they are yellow for so long)... no kidding...

Well callin pigs liars so far has worked for me, and no I don't think I am better then anyone else, no I am not saying no one else is in my postion. NO I am not saying my car is better, I know it's a pile of ****. But do I care?? No?? My record is clean except for running that red which I am fighting. No I was not speeding I was doing 50. But as I said, the light changed it was either try and brake or make the red, AS I said befor again, I would have made the light but some jerk pulled out infront of me. As for the cops and their jobs they can shove it where the sun aint never gonna shine and blow it out the noses for all I care. A cop wants to be a brick and try to bug me for **** I am not doing or give me a ticket for something I didn't do I am going to be just a big a ***** right back to them. I don't care how much power they have over me, if I have done no wrong and they charge with me with something I have done nothing to be charged for it's their *** on the line.. Not mine, so do you think I will really care? As for you elistian you ignorant little bastered. I never asked for your opinion or life story kid, I asked what you would do if you were in my position.
