Exhaust

Hey i have a 05 civic and was just wondering how the catalytic convertors were on them...right now i have no muffler on my car due to scraping and what not but there really isnt much of a sound ...i think it was here that i read that the civic cats did not restrict much but if that cat is absorbing that much sound is it really going to let that much flow through??anyways just wondering when i do my full exhaust if i should switch to a high performance cat..... thanks

Civic Cat = OK flow

High flow Cat = Better flow...

if your gonna invest in a catback, might as well spend the extra $ and get a high flow cat ...

I'm not sure if Honda changed this for newer models but my 01 Civic coupe has a one piece Exhaust Manifold and Cat. I think you will have to cut off the OEM cat and then weld on the new one. For me I have to cut it off and somehow make it fit with an aftermarket header.
