engine and transmission swap suggestions

Hi guys, I need your opinion. I know my stuff fairly well, and I know I'n the long run I'd be happier driving something with a clutch. However, I've put a lot of sweat blood and tears into my 97 EL even though it's an automatic. I bought the auto to make things easier on the home front, but I'm not too happy with my choice. Besides going with a manual swap, which doesn't make much sense financially, and the I.H.E combo that sounds so nasty on an auto, does anyone know of a tiptronic transmission that will either mate to a D series, or possibly costs on a K series or accord w/auto prelude trans swap? Thanks for your feedback. I do enjoy not having to burn clutches while sitting in traffic. And auto isn't bad for solo II. Thanks again. What do you think?

see if u can get a k-series along with the tranny if someone is parting out a tiptronic one (i think)........ its hard... its easier to find 5spd tranny than auto(tiptronic) trannies... but k is the way to go... check if mounts and stuff are available.... i'm sure its possible, since K can be drop into EG and EK chassis now already... but be ready to give out a lot of $$$$ for the installation+extra to drop in the K-motor...

yeah that would be the ultimate way to go, I'td probably set me back at least $5000. Isn't there a single cam H series accord motor that would bolt to a prelude tranny? Maybe i'll give up and ride my bike. I can change those gears. Any other thoughts??

Other option is to put a level 10 shift kit, level 10 has been around a long time, usually a car with a level 10 kit will be faster than the manual counterpart, they actually make aftermarket tiptronic kits, not sure if they've released them for honda yet.

I was gonna go this route with my auto, but found it would actually be alot cheaper (in my case) to convert to manual.

It would be cheaper to just swap to manual than go through all that trouble with custom mounting an H series with auto tranny etc. Also you could prolly pick up an eg hatch and put a swap in it for pretty cheap just to have fun with.
