Hey everyone I started this thread to get a bit of discussion on engine swaps.

Well I bought a 2001 civic si (D-17) I love the car even though I really miss my eg I sold. My problem is that it is a 2001 and I wish I could just pop in a B-Series engine in it, unfortunately I have found out you cant after some frustration. Basically I need to talk to people who have swapped there 01 civic. Its amazing how you can swap in a k series in a eg but cant swap a B in a 01. My engine sucks big time so if anyone could help me out through pics or links on where to read up on what I can do to this car it would really help, Im sure im not the only one.

for 7th gen....b/h serie swaps are not ideal...it's easier to put in a k series....and as for details how to install kseries in 7th gen....k20a.org and honda-tech is your friend=P

k20 in your 7th gen is the best choice
plus the k20 (motor itself) is not that costly...
k20 is only costly when it comes to installing into an eg/ek coz of the custom parts... but your 7th gen should be good...

i wanna get a 7th gen too if i'm able to... drop in a k20... damn it rocks hard.. haha

oh yeah robbie... you can trade me that car with no engine for my ek with gsr swap hahahhaa..... i'll throw in a k20... hahaha... that's one choice for you =)
