I think that bbarbulo & loudsubz have summed it up for me...
my stock cx is fine for now, and if I come across some money I'll drop in a new engine with all the mods...
thanks guys

if it aint broke done fix

look at it this way, is it a need or a want?

Also is there other things you would like to spend your money on? I was in the situation awhile ago but my engine was gettign older so I swapped it out for a newer one, but other than that I dont plan to drop alot of money into my car because I have other needs I would rather spend my money on, and hobbies as well.

But thats just my side.

Matt is right, money ain't easy to come by and you gotta spend every penny with caution. Which is why I sometimes pounder whether I should mod my car or not. But there are things you can take with you moving from one vehicle to the next. i.e racing seats, rims, deck... etc.

Which is why after a long thought, I have decided to get new seats.

Most people sell their car cause they are in need of money, or want something better.

I think Mako needs cash?

Now dont get me wrong, If i was in a good financial situation, steady job, no major bills to pay and some extra cash to spend, I would def do more mods to my car if thats what I really wanted to spend my money on. Its a hobby for me, but as a hobby some of the most rewarding aspects are doing little things to your car yourself that way you learn something and take pride at the same time.

Im not trying to stop anyone from doing anything, just saying to think about it first, because after you drop 5 or 6 grand on your car, and suddenly need money for some unexpected event then you might be thinking why did I drop such a large amount.

And then you might be like some of the others scrambling for cash and selling their rides/parting out etc.

there are two reasons why a person sells a car...

one: their financial setting has radically altered and they can't afford to keep it

two: they are sick of the problems they've had/continue to have or anticipate expensive repairs in the near future

modding is a luxury, and not all of us can afford luxuries use your head when you pull out your credit card/wallet.

well you see the idea came about when my wife and I decided that we are going to sell our house and buy a new house, and it's amazing house much a second hand house appreciates in value, compared to a new house...
soooo
with the extra moula that we have I was contemplating this as an option.
but I think I would rather finish the basement or get a HOT TUB!
haha!

ya bro... your house is your castle, your car is just a hooptie to run your errands... unless you travel for work.

If you drive as much as I do, like 100km a day back and forth, ya maybe I say you put in some money in it and so it drives better.

If not, just keep it the way it is. If you stay home a lot and want to have quality time with your wife, then I say you make your house look nice and all.

Money goes into the area where you use the most.
