I am planning to do a swap soon for my 88 hatch DX. Anybody knows is there a non-vtech (jdm) D15B out there?

by the way....how much would that engine cost?

the jdm d15b is vtec, you could swap in a d15b7 but why you would waste time/money on that is beyond me...unless your engine is gone and u just need transportation. i have a b16a1 with ys1 cable tranny in my ef hatch and it's alot of fun.

yeah, put a b16 in... some guy in kitchener was selling a b16 for like 600-800... i think it was the whole swap, but i dunno.

Those numbers look more like the D15b7 - and its a 16 valvue Fuel Injected system - not carbs... I don't think anything made in the 90s was carbd.. its definately non-VTEC SOHC.

the D15b7 (as i found out recently) is in all Civic CX and DXs for Canada. US had different engine (D15b8) which has only 70hp.
