Engine running too cold!

My winter car is a 95 Honda civic and just this year I noticed that the engine temperature stays relatively cool. Usually would go half way up teh scale and now it stays close to teh bottom even when i've been driving around for a while? Could this be due to a faulty thermostat? Or something else?

could be a faulty temperature sensor.... I had the same issue and when it was replaced everything was fine after that

yes of course, just use lots of zip ties to hold it in place. and monitor your temp guage, which is almost impossible not to seeing as its right beside the speedo... your only "possible" concern will be over heating the engine, which is very highly highly unlikely, allot of air flows up from underneath to provide cooling, and most OEM setups have plastic inserts in the bumper grille already anyway that most people take off during summer/replace in winter.. its held on by clips..

I bought my oem winter bumper used so it dint come with any, so i used cardboard instead...just paint it otherwise the water will destroy it...

ooh....ok good idea then
i think i might try this too cuz car takes so long to warm, i was just afraid of over heating the engine.

thanks!
